"Cooper and Brothers" is an ongoing project by Kim Francis and XabierXTRM.
Kim Francis bases his work on surf culture. He doesn't consider himself as a photographer, but a multidisciplinary artist. He travels through the time from 60's to 70's, shaping surfboards and carrying Analogic cameras. The aim of those "time-trips" is to capture the magical and surrealistic side of the world.
XabierXTRM likes the novelty, technical as formal. His works convey his care for detail and his taste of the experimentation. Without any prior knowledge, he changes the codes of traditional representation while preserving the balance of colors, spaces, volumes. An approach that allows him to express the shades and tones of his world, sweet, fanciful, sometimes ironic and often dreamy.
Now, from this collaboration they will try to merge their work in order to create a new exciting "Horribilous" family coming out from Dr. Cooper's laboratory.
